1. Commitment to User Privacy
At RunDrop, user privacy and data security are foundational principles. Guest users can freely upload and receive files, snippets, links, and markdown notes without providing names, phone numbers, or credit card details.
2. Ephemeral Storage & Zero-Footprint Auto-Purging
Uploaded files and shared notes are retained only for the duration designated by the active tier. Once expired, our automated cleanup system permanently deletes the files from storage and purges database records.
3. Cookie & Local Storage Policy
We use minimal cookies and local browser storage strictly necessary for the platform to function: Essential session cookies, 30-day Remember Me cookies (optional), and IndexedDB for resumable chunked file transfers.
4. Third-Party Services & Advertising (Google AdSense)
RunDrop may utilize third-party partners such as Google AdSense to serve non-intrusive advertisements on public pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on user visits.
5. Security & Sandboxing
All data in transit is protected using TLS 1.3 encryption. Stored files are renamed with randomized 40-character keys and sandboxed to prevent direct execution.
